I can't speak for anyone else, but I am so sick and tired of the mainstream media. There is not enough time for me to write a book of all the things that irritates me about these large news corporations, so I will keep it simple.

I undoubtedly believe that these large news stations serve a purpose, and that is to provide the citizens with an unbiased and nonpartisan story with objectable facts. This is not happening today. Turn on Fox News radio, all you will hear is Neil Boortz broadcasting stories and twisting the facts to favor the Right, while debunking the Left. This is not reporting, this is being a Yes man. What I mean by this is that 90% of Boortz's viewers are Republicans, and these viewers are merely shaking their head in a yes motion and agreeing with him. Where is the challenge in that? I am not just bashing Fox, CNN is guilty of this same exact thing. This is not to say that all major news sources are biased. NPR, for example, presents facts of the stories without adding their own opinion of what should or should not happen. That is nonpartisan reporting.

As I am writing this post,  some of the top stories on Foxnews.com are as follows: Syria (acceptable); Zimmerman's wife is questioning getting married (are you kidding?); Oklahoma town tries to rid water supply of red worms...
While there are good stories, such as Syria, there are even more "filler" stories that have absolutely no reason to be on the site. The third story about Oklahoma certainly has no reason to be on there. That is a story that should be saved for a hometown newspaper. Why do I need to read about it?

Now to CNN.com: Syria; Worm story, again; Manziel gets a half game suspension.
As I said about Fox, CNN also has good stories, but they also have a lot of fillers. The worm story shows that there is no real originality between these news conglomerates. Lastly, why do I need to read about Johnny Manziel on CNN? If I want to know more about it I will turn on SportsCenter and hear about it for the rest of the season.

This first entry is just the foundation of what I would like to write about. In the future I will look at similar stores (like the worm one) and compare how each news site reports the "facts". I will also be giving my opinion on media biased and how it can adversely harm politicans and their careers. Enjoy!
